Repulican or Democrat

Why do we live in a country where the media is always labeling us? You are either a Republican or Democrat. You are a baby boomer, generation x or y. Why don't we vote as AMERICANS first this year?!!!! Let's remember what our country was founded on and what our forefathers fought for. Those of us old enough to remember real History taught in grade school ...will remember words like, "Freedom" and "We the people". Does the following paragraph look familiar to anyone.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Where does it say everyone is guaranteed a house, insurance, or even a JOB. Was not it because of Great Britain and their taxation and man's desire for religious freedom that we broke away from the "Mother country"? Since when is the "pursuit of Happiness" only include up to 250 thousand dollars. Are you ready to pay higher taxes in Obama's explanation to Joe the Plumber (See the video here.) that we need to "spread the wealth around"? Does this theory sound familiar?

Marxism - the economic and political theories of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels that hold that human actions and institutions are economically determined and that class struggle is needed to create historical change and that capitalism will ultimately be superseded by communism.

Is this the kind of change that one really needs?

When November 4 rolls around let's remember that you are an American first. Lets protect this Great Country we live in!
